The #1 seed Simpsons wiped out the #4 seed Smurfs 15-4 to advance to the regional final. The next remaining victim is not the #3 seed Jetsons which lost to #7 seed Tom and Jerry in a close one 10-7. We will get the match up we wanted as Tom and Jerry will face their knock off’s from the SImpsons, Itchy and Scratchy.  If only someone could blend those two cartoons together. South Park Bracket – Super Hero Cartoons – Eliminated – #9 Star Wars Clone Wars, #5 Justice League, #11 Speedracer, #10 Superman (animated series 1996-2000), #8 He-Man, #12 X-Men, #6  Spiderman (Spectacular Spiderman 2008), #7 Thundercats, #4 Super Friends, #2 TMNT (older version 1987-1996)

The #1 seed South Park defeated #4seed Super Friends rather easily 16-2. As fellow bracket brother Dan stated succinctly “The Super Friends have been dying to lose the entire tournament.” The opponent waiting for South Park is #3 seed Batman (animated Series 1992-1995) that defeated #2 seed TMNT (older version 1987-1996) by an 11-7 margin. Batman has his work cut out for him as South Park in season 19 has declared open season on the P.C. police with their P.C. principal. This match up will go down like Cartman versus the P.C. principal. (South Park is the P.C. principal and Cartman is Batman.)

Family Guy Bracket – Animal Cartoons – Eliminated –  #8 Ren and Stimpy, #12 Pink Panther,  #11 Garfield and Friends, #7 Huckleberry Hound Show, #9 The Woody Woodpecker Show, #5 Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, #6 Yogi the Bear, #10 Underdog, #4 Duck Tales, #3 Rocky and Bullwinkle

The #1 seed Family Guy was lucky to survive the upstart #4 seed Duck Tales 11-9. Their reward will #2 seed Scooby-Doo that cruised to a 14-7 victory over #3 seed Rocky and Bullwinkle. The Family Guy better get it going or they will get eaten as quickly as a Scooby Snack.

Looney Tunes Bracket – Odd Ball Cartoons – Eliminated – #9 Animaniacs, #12 Archer, #6 Avatar the Last Airbender, #7 Dexter’s Laboratory,  #8 G.I. Joe, #5 Tiny Toon Adventures, #11 Pinky and the Brain, #2 Sponge Bob Square Pants, #4 Beavis and Butthead, #3 Futurama

The #1 seed Looney Tunes has continued its demolishing of the tournament field with a 16-1 victory over #4 seed Beavis and Butthead. The Looney Tunes have now out scored opponents 38-3 and waiting in the wings is #10 seed Transformers. The #3 seed Futurama could not stop the Cinderella of the Cartoon Bracket Tournament #10 Transformers losing 12-4. Will the upset run continue for Transformers?
